Hello fellow polishers!
Today I have a review of OPI's In the Cable Car Lane and some abstract art I placed on top of it, since I find it just about impossible to just paint my nails without putting something on top. So, In the Cable Car Lane:

3 coats OPI In the Cable Car Lane topped with Seche Vite |
So let me start off by saying I absolutely love this colour! It is so rich and deep and almost edible. Unfortunately I am not so much in love with the formula. It is very much a crelly, which makes it juicy and thick but the formula is watery and patchy, requiring three coats before it self levels.

OPI In the Cable Car Lane with Nubar Black Striper and OPI's Goldeneye |
Once I admired the depth of colour for a while I moved on to some freehand work. Using a Nubar striper in black I created a series of randomly placed lines to create some interesting irregular shapes. I then chose areas of the design to fill with OPI's Goldeneye using a small dotting tool to spread the colour(by the way, Goldeneye is an amazing yellow-y orange-y gold glitter that is opaque on its own in two to three coats). I finished with my usual coat of SV to finish it off.
Well, that is all for this post, more to come soon. Until later, polish happy!
I Love this!! It is perfect for the upcoming fall :) I will try this
ReplyDeleteIt is also amazing if you use China Glaze's For Audrey for a base, it looks a lot like turquoise.
